| No Comments | No TrackBacks

A grant is making its way to the high country to help construct a new homeless shelter. Representative Cullie Tarleton and Senator Steve Goss have recently announced that their district has been awarded a $600,000 grant that will be used to help build Hospitality House's new shelter. The money will match funding from the NC Finance Agency and the Federal Home loan bank of Atlanta, as well as, money that the program has raised locally. Hospitality House of Boone is a nonprofit crisis intervention agency that provides shelter and services to the homeless, operates the community soup kitchen and administers WE-CAN- which is a local crisis assistance program.
