Eat a good breakfast and support your community. The Boone Area Lions Club will hold its Annual Country Breakfast with an all you can eat eggs, pancakes, bacon and country ham. The proceeds from the country breakfast are used to support community projects helping the visually and hearing impaired children and adults of the high country. The Lions assist those in need of glasses, canes and hearing aids with the assistance of the NC Lions Foundation. The club also helps local visually impaired residents by paying for the registration for summer camp at camp dogwood on Lake Norman . The Lions will also be collecting used eyeglasses during the breakfast to be sent to people in need in other countries. Last year the Lions Club distributed more than 6 million of them in developing nations. The breakfast will be on Saturday, April 18th from 7 to 11 a-m in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Boone on King Street . You can eat in or take out. Tickets are available from Lions Club members or at the door for 7 dollars or 3 for children under 6.
