Housing Market for High Country Looking Up

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Though the housing market is in a slump across America... for the High Country...things are looking up. The High Country Association of Realtors recently released statistics for residential homes sold through the end of June.

When compared with the same time last year, the numbers show an almost 30 percent decrease in the number of homes sold. However, the number of residential properties sold locally over the past six months has doubled.

President of the association, Carole Cox claims they are seeing an increase in the number of homes sold under $300,000.

The association is composed of members in Watauga and Avery counties and the surrounding area.
