If you're a parent and want a break from your kids, then bring them to the 6th Annual Kidfest at Grandfather Mountain on September 12th.

This event will provide kids with their very own day at Grandfather and get them excited about the nature and culture of the North Carolina Mountains. Beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 4 p.m., kids will be able enjoy hikes, share nature stories, play instruments, face paint and more. The first 250 children ages 4-12 will receive an activity packet upon arrival which includes a grandfather mountain coloring book, crayons and special Kidfest button.
