Volunteer for Woolly Worm this year!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

With Summer ending, and Fall just right around the corner, what's the first thing many in the High Country think of? Of course it's the world famous Woolly Worm Festival!

If you are interested in volunteering this year, or would like to earn some of the money raised, you can apply now online. The 2009 grant application and volunteer interest forms can be downloaded from either averycounty.com or askavery.com. Grant applications must be mailed to the address on the form and postmarked by October 3rd. Volunteers can return their forms to the chamber.

Co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Banner Elk and the Avery Chamber of Commerce, the festival will be held on October 17th and 18th this year.
