Watauga County authorities continue to search for the two men who robbed the "Blue Ridge Savings Bank" on Highway 105 several weeks ago. The robbery happened on September 10 around 9:15 AM. According to David Osborne of the Boone Police Department, his department was informed of the robbery by a hold up alarm from the bank.  Officers responded to the scene, but the masked gunmen had already left.

Both suspects are men who were dressed in dark-colored clothing and were wearing cloth-like coverings over their faces.  Both were armed, one with a pistol, the other with a long-barreled gun. The suspects left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information about this crime should contact "High Country Crimestoppers' Watauga County office" at (828) 268-6959.  All information will be kept confidential and Crimestoppers pays rewards for information that leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property.
