Watauga Schools Education Consultant Workshop

Watauga County Schools brought in national education consultant Dr. Marcia Tate for a special workshop with 65 teachers from Watauga High School. Marshall Ashcraft of Watauga County Schools said the six-hour training course was held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church on Monday.

The workshop focused on "brain compatible" teaching strategies and more specifically on varying means of teaching rather than lecture-based instruction. Tate presented the same workshop to the rest of the high school faculty earlier this month.
