Black Bear Books on Blowing Rock Road in Boone has teamed up with the American Red Cross to raise money for the disaster relief efforts in Haiti as well. According to Executive Director of the Watauga County Red Cross Sonny Sweet, a painting that was done by a man in Haiti will be raffled off to raise money.  He said a local collector provided the painting. Raffle tickets will be available in the coming days throughout Watauga County and at the Red Cross' headquarters for $10.  Donations will also be accepted. The painting will be raffled off at Black Bear Books in March.
