High Country Home Sales Increase
High Country home sales are up , both for the number of homes sold and also the prices of the homes. While large houses like this in a local private development may not be selling, homes that are more affordable like this one under construction are. Local real-estate sales in the High Country hit a six-month high in March of this year and all signs are pointing to maintaining a steady growth in the market. There were 112 sales in March recorded by the High Country MSL service. The March figure is the highest since September 2011 when 122 listings were sold. The average price of homes sold were also on the rise for the 3rd straight month, up 5 % since Jan of 2011 to 268,979. Pending home sales are above 2011 levels as are existing sales. These figures are on target with national statistics as this trend continues to form , 2012 could be the year housing begins to rebound 4 years after it crashed.
