Avery Sheriff's Office Nabs Online Predator


Authorities in Avery County are still conducting an investigation after capturing an online predator over the weekend. A bulliten was issued on Sunday for a 16 year old girl who had been abducted after the girls mother had last heard from her leaving a motel in Pineola. According to the Avery Sheriff's office, the teen had been with a man who she had met online and a bulliten was issued for the man's 2000 model Chevy Caviler. The man and girl were located after a search of the county just after 1 o'clock where they were taken into custody. Charges have yet to be filed in the case.
