ACSO Searches For Felony Suspect


The Avery County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of property crimes. Deputies and authorities with the Avery Sheriff's Office are on the lookout for Calvin Richard Cook of Elk Park. According to Sheriff Kevin Frye, Cook is wanted for felony probation violation and is also a suspect in numerous property crimes that have recently occured. Sheriff Frye asks that anyone with any information on Cook's location call the Avery Sheriff's Office at 828-733-2071 or High Country Crimestoppers at 828-737-0125. Any caller with information leading to the arrest of Cook, and the recovery of property or illegal drugs could be eligible for a cash reward.
