Linville Land Harbor Residents Entertain In Showgroup


Residents of Linville Land Harbor put on a wonderful show over the weekend. The show was their 2012 Showgroup production, “Baubles, Bangles and Broadway, A History of the American Musical”. The show featured songs from some of the greatest Broadway hits over the past 100 years from the Ziegfeld Follies to the recent Jersey Boys. The show also included Broadway music from many of the great American musical composers and lyrists including: Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, George M. Cohen, Lerner and Lowe, and many others. Several comedy sketches were also on the program. It was the first time the program was held inside the Hayes Fine Arts Center at Crossnore School with showings on Friday and Saturday night. Profits from the Show Group's Production were made as a donation to the Crossnore Academy Drama Department
