Ashe Sheriff's Office Arrests 2 Men For Camper Larceny


Two men are behind bars in Ashe County after breaking into a Camper in West Jefferson. Ashe County Authorities arrested 26 tear old Chase Daniel Tolbert and 26 year old Kenneth James Bowman after the pair had broken into a recreational camper on Cox Road. According to the report, authorities responded to a suspicious vehicle call around 12pm on August 2nd. Upon arrival, officers discovered the individuals at a camper across the river. Authorities then alerted the owners of the camper who confirmed there had been a break-in at the camper. The pair had loaded a canoe with items they had taken from the camper. Both men were charged with  felony breaking and entering, and felony larceny after breaking and entering and are currently held on $25,000 secured bond at the Ashe County Detention Center.
