Caldwell County Schools Recieves National Awards


The Caldwell County Schools Finance Department was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada and the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. The Certificate of Excellence from both organizations represents the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and the attainment of each one alone reflects a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the ninth consecutive year that the Caldwell County School System Finance Department has been awarded these notable achievements. The annual report is judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including the demonstration of the “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate an organization’s financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
