Ashe Narcotics Bust 2 With Mobile Meth Lab


2 people are behind bars in Ashe County tonight after authorities discovered a portable meth lab. Deputies with the Ashe County Sheriff's Office arrested 37 year old Julia Beth Hvostel and 27 year old Thomas Wyatt, charging both with the manufacture of a schedule II controlled substance in regards to the meth lab.  The arrests came after an ongoing investigation by the Ashe County Narcotics Division with the help from Jefferson Police after a traffic stop, later on making the arrests at a residence. At the residence, authorities discovered 2 small children living in the house among the meth lab. The children were taken to Ashe Memorial Hospital where they were examined and released to DSS. Hvostel is also facing charges of maintaining a dwelling for the sale and delivery of a controlled substance. She is currently in jail under a $55,000 bond while Wyatt remains in custody under a $50,000 bond.
