Mountaineer baseball took a 14-3 non-confenerce win over Radford Tuesday at Smith Stadium, and in the process, Isaac Harrow set new school records for career hits and doubles. Harrow's single to right field in the first inning was the 239th hit of his career, which tied the ASU record set by Chris Behne from 1997-2000. Harrow's two-run double down the left field line an inning later not only put him alone atop the school's all-time hits list, but also gave him 62 doubles in his career to break the school record that he shared with former teammate David Rubinstein. The senior third baseman later added an infield single and finished 3-for-5 on the evening, raising his season batting average to .422. The Mountaineers jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings en route to their 14-run, 19-hit performance. The damage could have been far worse, but the Apps stranded a season-high 14 base-runners in the rout.
Up next for the Mountaineers, UNC-Asheville Wednesday, then on Thursday the Apps host North Carolina Central. Next weekend, the Mountaineers travel to UNCG for their final conference games before the SoCon tournament May 20-24. But before then, the Apps will travel to NC State and will host Longwood.
