Appalachian State volleyball took a 2-1 match lead Sunday afternoon at Belk Arena, but could not hold that lead and the Mountaineers fell to SoCon South Division foe Davidson 3-2. Davidson won the first game 25-20, but Appalachian State won the second 25-22 and the third 25-19. However, Davidson won the fourth 25-23 and the fifth 15-12. The loss was the Mountaineers' second over the weekend. They also lost 3-0 to Georgia Southern on Friday. Meghann Forshey who recorded a season-best 13 kills, while Caroline Sedon posted an impressive nine block assists. Appalachian hosts College of Charleston Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Holmes Center.
