ASU Men Down LMC 77-44

Ike Butts scored 10 first-half points and six of the team's first eight after the intermission and finished with a career-best 22 points in ASU's 77-44 win against Lees-McRae Tuesday night at the Holmes Center. Butts led the squad on the boards as well with nine rebounds as ASU held a commanding 44-30 edge on the glass. The Mountaineers shot a stout 54.4 percent from the field while holding the Bobcats to only 30.5 percent. Kellen Brand reached double figures for the second time this season with 10 points on 3-of-3 shooting, including a pair of treys. Donald Sims scored seven points in the contest to go along with three assists and a steal, but did not sink a three-pointer in the game for the first time since last February. Adam McFerran led the Bobcats with 16 points and six rebounds before leaving the game with an ankle injury. Sam Youse added 15 points with three treys in the game.The Mountaineers face a tough road trip with visits to Arkansas on Friday and No. 20 Louisville on Monday. Louisville knocked off Arkansas Tuesday night 96-66.
